There is an ancient Greek fable called "the hedgehog and the fox" : the fox knows many things, the hedgehog only knows one big thing. The battle between the hedgehog and the fox takes place every day in some form, though the fox is cleverer than the hedgehog, and it is always the hedgehog who wins.

Princeton university professor Marvin bresler points out the power of hedgehogs: "you want to know what separates people who make a big difference from other people who are just as smart as them? It's a hedgehog."
